Investing in Health & Wellness
It’s funny how we have absolutely no problem justifying buying a car. I mean, rightfully so, we need them to get around! They make life so much easier and doing every day neccessities way more convenient! But when you think about it, the moment we take the car off the lot, they depreciate in value. Convenient, yes! A good investment, absolutely not. But the reality is, when our cars’ breakdown, chances are we can purchase new replacement parts, and get them up and running again. A car is an expense, not an investment. It’s not a neccessity, it’s a luxury.
But, what about our bodies? What about our mindset? What about our nourishment & fuel? When are we going to start investing in the vehicle we’re going to live in for the rest of our lives? When we talk about buying a home, it’s an investment. When we talk about our education, it’s an investment. But when do we really talk about investing in our health and well-being? Let’s start that narrative.
The investment doesn’t have to be financial. Maybe it’s determining your ‘me’ time and following through and doing it. Or making time for exercise and holding yourself accountable. Maybe it’s meal prepping for nourishment AND enjoyment. Perhaps it’s scheduling a day where you do nothing, because that’s what was needed.
It’s time to invest in our health. It’s time to invest in our well-being. It’s time to cultivate and empower wellness.
